The purchase of these two hospitals by the University of Southern California is one of the most significant single events in USC’s 129-year history, and marks the beginning of a new era in medicine at the university. The hospitals are undergoing accelerated growth in clinical programs, innovative therapies and surgical techniques, including cardiovascular and thoracic diseases, urologic and orthopedic disorders, neurological issues, organ transplantation, and cancer treatment.
