About the Unit
- 20-30 surgeries a day
- RN staffing ratio: PACU-2:1, pre-op 4:1
- Patient population: Ophthalmology, minor orthopedic, ENT, urology, plastic surgery
- Type of technology: Updated ophthalmology equipment for retina, cataract, and glaucoma surgery. Arthroscopic equipment, Image guidance system and balloon sinuplasty system for sinus surgery
Experienced RN Qualifications
- Current California RN licensure
- OR RN- minimum of 1 year as circulating nurse in acute care setting, BCLS required, ACLS and CNOR preferred
- PACU RN- minimum of 1 year in PACU or ICU in acute care setting, BCLS, ACLS, PALS required, CPAN preferred
- Pre/Post-Op RN- minimum of 1 year in Pre/post-Op in acute care setting, BCLS,ACLS,PALS required
