- Nurse Week April 30 - May 4, 2012
Nurse Week Nursing Awards recognize and showcase excellent outcomes by an individual in the care of acutely and critically ill patients and their families.
Nominating a colleague for an award is a way to recognize their wonderful contributions to fulfilling the mission of the Keck Medical center of USC. Nominations should offer specific examples of how a nominee meets and/or exceeds requirements for award. Anecdotes or examples depicting a nominee's worthiness are particularly helpful in distinguishing top candidates. Anyone can nominate an individual for an award.

- Nurse Week Essay Grant
Nurse Week Essay Grants recognize and showcase the engagement of the Nurses of USC to seek knowledge and explore new ways to facilitate and influence excellent patient outcomes. Nurse Week Essay Grants are available for the reimbursement of professional development conference fees, travel and hotel expenses up to $2,000. You would be requested to prepare and deliver a presentation to your peer group and/or other relevant audience, on the conference you attend.
To compete for a Nurse Week Grant, Nurses of USC are invited to submit an essay that conveys the mission statements of the Keck Medical Center of USC and the Nurses of USC as they pertain to pursuing personal professional development and providing excellent patient outcomes. Essay Form. Deadline is April 20th.
